He had a son Simon (Cooma, NSW) who then had a son Francis (Cooma, NSW) who was a poet and foundation member of the Shearer's Union. Thought this may be of interest in some way. (Original Message: November 26, 2006, 9:32 am)

Hi Graham! Just wanted to say this site looks very interesting. I'm drawing up a family tree for my mother-in-law for Christmas, and on her maternal side she had a Simon Freebody who was transported in 1790 to Australia, and became an original Hawkesbury River (Windsor) settler. I am researching my wife's family name Messum and her grandfather, Frank William Albert Messum was the brother of Ernest Henry Messum who married Kathleen Alice Freebody.
