The following information kindly supplied by George's daughter Margaret:

 

He met Lilian at elementary school in Portsmouth.

Soon after marrying, George and Lilian moved away from Portsmouth. Roger Anthony was born when they lived in Worcester Park, Surrey (Lilian may have returned home to Portsmouth for the delivery). George worked for The Admiralty and his department was moved to Bath (14 Belgrave Road) during the war, and Margaret was born there. In 1944 approx. George was transferred to Leeds (23 The Drive, Roundhay) and lived there until 1951 approx, and then moved to Kingston on Thames (66 Latchmere Road), where George died shortly after.

George is buried in Kingston Cemetery, Portsmouth, UK.
